Galactic50: Day 19 MacKerricher SP

The fog has rolled in and pretty much looks like it is hear to stay. As we make our way up the coast to Mackerricher State Park, we are amazed at not only the fog but how cold it is. We planned this stop as being halfway between Shark Fin and The Redwoods National Forest, so I wasn't exactly sure what we would be in for. But MacKerricher State Park is a campground right on the water so we were excited. We arrived in the late afternoon and got our campsite. Once we got setup, we found a couple of interesting places around the campsite to go photograph. But the fog was thick, so I knew we wouldn't get a interesting sunset, but I was hoping for some dramatic coastal photos which we totally got.Like a scene out of Pirates of the Caribbean, the coast was littered with rocks. We found a tidal pool and grabbed some photos and then made our way to the seal overlook. Unfortunately, the seals were too far out and the fog was too thick to get any photos, but our stay at MacKerricher State Park was peaceful and we were rested before a final trip up Rt. 1 to the Redwoods.Thoughts from the road:Its cold, why is it so cold in California!Music from the road:John Butler Trio, Pink FloydPhotos from the road:
